Are We Good? is a deeply intimate look at the life and career of comedian and podcast pioneer Marc Maron, chronicling his journey through grief and disillusionment following the sudden loss of his partner, filmmaker Lynn Shelton. Directed by Steven Fienartz, the film follows Maron as he reflects on loss and growth amidst a changing comedy landscape. As he processes grief both on-stage and off, he revisits his career, family struggles, and personal evolution at age 60. 

Are We Good? had its world premiere at the 2025 SXSW Film Festival followed by a New York premiere at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival. The film is slated to have a theatrical release in October of 2025, coinciding with the finale of Maron’s groundbreaking podcast “WTF.”
